In February 2026, Spreat was at EuroShop in Düsseldorf - the largest trade fair for retail - on the “Innovation made in Germany” joint pavilion run by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs. On 24 February there were also 25 minutes on the Purple Stage.
The stand itself was small. A shelf with goods, a tablet, a card reader. And that is the interesting part.
Three things, and one of them is software
Anyone who wants to show a POS system at a retail trade fair usually builds a checkout area. We need a shelf for it - because the question Spreat answers is not a checkout question but an assortment question: how do goods get into a store without the store having to buy them?
The answer has three parts. First: the space - a shelf, a table, a meter of wall. Second: the goods, which belong to the brands and stay theirs until they are sold. Third: the software that holds both together - assortment, till, settlement, payout.
On a trade fair stand you mostly see the first two. The third part is the one doing the work.
