Asked briefly, answered clearly.

What Spreat is, who owns the goods, how settlement runs: the questions that apply to stores and brands alike. Anything that concerns only one side is on that side's own page.

What is Spreat?

A marketplace for retail space. Brands put their products into real stores, the customer buys at the till, the store earns a commission. Spreat is the technology in between: integration, settlement, payout.

Who sells the goods, the store or the brand?

The brand. The store provides the space; the sale runs through its Spreatkasse. The products remain the brand's property until a customer buys them.

Who pays what?

The brand pays the store's commission. The 5% to Spreat is also paid by the brand, not by the store. What a store pays for setup is on the pricing page.

How do a store and a brand find each other?

Through the Brandpool - in both directions. Stores pick brands there that suit their customers, and brands pick stores that suit their products. Who asks first doesn't matter: it only comes about if both sides agree.

Who is behind Spreat?

Spreat started in Aachen in 2023 and is a Hamburg GmbH today. It is run by its two founders. Who else stands behind it is on the about page.

I have a brand, not a store.

Then it works the other way round: you put your assortment into the Brandpool, retailers discover you - and you discover stores that suit your brand and make them an offer.
