# Get in touch before the role is advertised.

Spreat is a small team with a product that has been standing in real stores for a while. Roles here usually exist before there is a title for them. Which is why we read every application, advertised or not.

Apply anyway

## What you would work on.

Spreat turns physical stores into marketplaces. The brand provides the goods, the store the space, we build the technology in between.

- On the shop floor, not in a concept

    Live

freenet has started with Spreat in several stores. What we build stands on real shop floors.

- Brands in the pool

    150+

From a single product to a wall of their own. Every one of them wants stores that suit it.

- HafenCity, roots in Aachen

    Hamburg

Started in Aachen in 2023, a Hamburg GmbH since October 2025.

- That is the size of the team

    5 + you

Five people build Spreat. What you build is out in the world the next day.

## How we work.

No values on the wall. Four things you notice from day one.

- ### Short paths

There is no layer between you and a decision. You talk to the two founders directly.

- ### Straight talk about where we stand

You always know what is live and what comes next. What counts here is the real state of things, not the prettiest slide.

- ### A subject of your own, not support work

At this team size an area belongs to you entirely. That is freedom and responsibility at once.

- ### The store decides

Whether something works shows at the till. Not in a meeting.

## This is the whole team.

Two founders, three more. No department and no layer in between: after your first week you know everyone.

The open seat And one that is still free. Five people build Spreat. The sixth seat belongs to whoever gets in touch before the role is advertised. Apply anyway

[More about us](https://spreat.com/en/about)

## What we get asked first.

No role is advertised. Is it still worth it?

Yes. On a team this size a role often only comes into being once the right person turns up. We read every application and get in touch as soon as something opens up.

What should the application say?

Who you are, what you can do and what you want to work on. A CV or your LinkedIn profile is enough for us. You do not need a formal cover letter.

Are there internships or working-student roles?

In principle yes, but not all year round. Write to us about what you feel like doing and how much time you can bring. If there is room right now, we will say so.

Where do you work?

Spreat is based in Hamburg's HafenCity, and it started in Aachen. How and where we work together is something we settle in conversation.

What happens to my documents?

We use them only to assess your application and pass them on to nobody. Want them deleted? One email is enough and it is done.

## The shortest way is an email.

Nothing is advertised right now, and it does not have to be. Whatever lands here is read by one of the two founders - whether it is an application or, for now, just a question.

- [By email jobs@spreat.com](mailto:jobs@spreat.com)

A CV, your LinkedIn profile or a few lines about what you want to work on. That is all it takes.

- [Through the form Request: careers](https://spreat.com/en/contact?anliegen=karriere)

If a few fields come easier to you than an empty email.

How we handle your data is set out in the [privacy policy](https://spreat.com/en/privacy).
